This is the second local walk that I will be writing about. The other walk is 22 miles long (I will complete it in two days) whereas this one is achievable in two hours. Being in lockdown gave me the opportunity to explore local walks that I might have overlooked in normal times. I probably would have been in the mountains.
My aim was to find a spot where to film the #showusyourbrew challenge. The walk started along the River Darwen, mainly in the mud… gosh it was muddy, as it has been raining a lot. Eventually I found a little spot in the woods that was an ideal place for filming.
The #showusyourbrewchallenge is to brew up a hot drink in the local countryside. I think it is important to show support and solidarity during these difficult times of lockdown. After all we are in this situation all together and I believe we all could do with a little pat on our back or just a smile and a few encouraging words. Making this video has been lots of fun.
The two hours of the walk went very quickly. It was so nice to be out and I was lucky enough to see a couple of wild deers peeping at me in the woods. Unfortunately they were gone before I had a chance to film them. Better luck next time.
